The insured is a company specified in the business description, including all legally dependent country branches and other business premises. Other companies may be included in the insurance policy under a special agreement.
Insured Risks
Loss or damage of goods covered by transportation or logistics contracts;
Indirect losses or consequential financial losses resulting from the damage to goods (excluding personal injuries; no damage to other objects, e.g., third-party goods);
Failure to meet delivery deadlines;
Pure financial losses (excluding personal injuries, loss of goods, or other object losses, or resulting losses.
Insurance Coverage. Insured Risks
The insurance covers compensation for justified losses and protection against unjustified losses claimed by the insured as the contracting carrier.
The insurer also compensates the insured for expenses related to the prevention or mitigation of the obligation to compensate for damages, if the loss is unavoidable or has already occurred, and if the insured has incurred them properly and reasonably, as well as in legal and additional cases. It reimburses legal expenses if they were justified under the circumstances.
Geographical Scope
For freight forwarding contracts worldwide;
For carriage contracts if the place of delivery and delivery is within the geographical boundaries of Europe;
For warehousing contracts within the geographical boundaries of Europe, excluding the CIS.
Exceptions and limitations
Damage caused by natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, lightning, etc.);
Damage caused by war, war-like incidents, civil war, civil unrest, riots, incidents related to nuclear energy;
Damage caused by strikes, lockouts, labor unrest, terrorist violence, or political violence;
Damage caused by confiscation, restriction, or any other intervention by government authorities.
